In our vocational school on 09.01.2023 Monday, in our school's conference hall, a talk titled “Career Conversations” aimed at Business Management and Accounting and Tax Applications students regarding the accounting profession was held with the participation of Bucak Zeliha Tolunay UİYO Faculty Member Harun ÖĞÜNÇ and Certified Public Accountant and Financial Advisor Osman TAŞKIN as speakers.

In the talk, the participants talked about their own careers and the challenges they faced. Attention was drawn to the challenges that students who will pursue a career in this field may encounter and how they can overcome them. The intricacies of the accounting profession and the stages of development dependent on technology were explained to the students. The general and specific requirements of the accounting profession, the competencies that students need to acquire, and the career steps they can take in the public and private sectors were explained. The differences between a certified public accountant and a sworn financial advisor and the requirements to become one were explained in detail to our students. At the end of the talk, a question-and-answer session was held with our students, providing information on the issues they were curious about.

At the end of the talk, the participants were thanked.
